Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has been hospitalised after she was involved in a motorcycle accident while filming a movie scene in Lagos. The accident happened during an on-set sequence in which she was riding on the back of a motorcycle operated by fellow actor Victory Michael. The motorcycle reportedly struck a metal barrier, causing the rider to lose control and throwing Oko to the ground.
Crew members and fellow actors rushed to assist both actors before Oko was taken to a hospital, where she received treatment for her injuries. In a video shared on her social media, she reflected on the dangers actors face while filming and thanked God for surviving the incident.
She wrote that “Life is very, very fragile. It could have been a different story, but God said NO… We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is Thank You, God.”
The incident has prompted an outpouring of prayers and well wishes from colleagues and fans, who have wished her a speedy recovery.
